FHG 360° Our Approach to Safety

At FHG, Inc. safety is all-encompassing. We believe safety doesn’t just happen; it requires focused effort, comprehensive awareness and a relentless commitment to the well-being of ourselves and others. Safety must be an ever-present reality for all employees, across all work. FHG 360°, our own program devoted to the safety of all employees, is managed by full-time health and safety professionals. The 3, the 6 and the 0 in FHG 360° stand for the driving forces of our safety program: 3 groups of people, 6 pillars of safety and 0 injuries.

Employees must care about their own safety, and we continually emphasize ways for workers to stay safe.

We also urge vigilance for how our work may affect others, including coworkers, other contractors and customers.

Lastly, and most importantly, remembering our families while we work gives us the motivation to come home safely. Everyone has loved ones who care about and often depend on their safety.

Ensuring everyone receives the training they need to perform their job competently and safely.

Actively recognizing and mitigating potential hazards in our work to prevent incidents, using job safety analyses, jobsite safety inspections, safe performance observations and near miss and good catch reporting, trending, investigation and analysis.

READINESS

Taking the time to make sure employees are ready for each project and the task at hand – mentally and physically fit for duty and prepared with the right tools, equipment, and PPE.

No injury is acceptable.

Our desire is to have zero injuries, but it takes awareness and focused effort on a daily basis. We want to send every worker home, every day, in the same condition as when he or she arrived.
